Our Mission And Values

Our Vision

That all neurodivergent children and young people understand and accept their unique strengths and abilities, and are supported to connect with and engage with their world.

Our Mission

To provide neurodiversity-affirming, connection-based paediatric therapy to children, young people and families in Townsville and North Queensland.

Our Values

Our values guide every decision we make and every interaction we have with you, your child and their other supports. They also guide how we work within our team.

Connection

We are a neurodiversity-affirming practice and will never adopt practices that are disrespectful to your child. We believe that connection to others always comes first and understand the importance of you and your child feeling safe when seeking therapy. That’s why we will always take the time to build relationships. We will promote connection (to other people, nature and the world) in every interaction you have with us.

Trust

We know that trust is an essential part of a successful therapeutic relationship. We actively work on building trust with our clients, their families and within our team. We set realistic expectations and do what we say we will do. We learn from own our mistakes and celebrate our achievements. We do the right thing even when others aren’t looking.

Leadership

We are leaders in our field and strive for excellence in all that we do. We ensure we are up to date with the latest evidence and are brave enough to look for new ways of working to achieve the best outcomes. We always focus on strengths and support our clients, and each other, to achieve the best results.

Sustainability

We aim to make therapy sustainable. We know that a session is, at best, just one hour of your child’s week, so we will provide you with tools, education and support so the benefits of therapy can transfer into your daily life. We recognise the importance of nature to our wellbeing and take positive action to minimise our footprint by using renewable products whenever possible and when not possible by reusing and recycling.

Naturally Kids Allied Health acknowledges the traditional owners of the land, seas and sky where we live and work – the Bindal and Wulgurukaba people. Our clinic is located on Gurrumbilbarra country, the traditional lands of the Wulgurukaba peoples. We recognise their continuing connection to country and community. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging.
