Purpose & Impact

Our Vision

Why this work matters

Many neurodivergent children experience barriers to participation, connection and belonging in everyday life.

These barriers can make it harder to build friendships, explore interests and feel included in their communities.

Families often tell us they want more than therapy alone — they want their children to feel accepted, capable and connected in the places where they live, learn and play.

Naturally Kids was created to help make that possible.

Why Naturally Kids was created

Many children struggle not because something is wrong with them, but because the environments around them are not designed for how they learn, play and connect.

Naturally Kids was established to create spaces where children can build confidence, develop friendships and participate more fully in their communities through play, relationships and shared experiences.

From the beginning, we also recognised that supporting children well requires supporting the therapists who work alongside them — creating a workplace where clinicians feel valued, connected and able to practise in ways that align with their values.

Our Purpose

Naturally Kids exists to support neurodivergent children and families to experience genuine belonging.

Through occupational therapy, group programs and nature-based experiences, we create environments where children can build relationships, develop skills and participate in ways that feel authentic to them.

How we support children

Our approach supports belonging through therapy, participation and connection.

Therapy
Occupational therapy supports children to develop the skills needed for everyday activities including play, learning, self-care and social interaction.

Participation
Group programs allow children to practise skills in shared experiences with peers through creativity, play and exploration.

Belonging
Nature-based programs such as Joey’s Mob provide opportunities for children to build friendships, develop confidence and experience connection through outdoor play.

Together these experiences support children to participate more fully in everyday life.

Our Values

Our work is guided by three core values.

Connection
We prioritise empathy, kindness and understanding to create spaces where children feel safe to be themselves and build meaningful relationships.

Leadership
We strive to lead positive change in how children are supported by championing play, nature and neurodiversity-affirming practice.

Trust
We build trust through honesty, integrity and respect, creating strong partnerships with children, families and our community.

Supporting families across Queensland

Naturally Kids supports children and families across Queensland through clinics, outreach services and community programs.

Our team works with children in homes, schools, clinics and outdoor environments to help them develop skills, confidence and connection within their communities.

Our Commitment

Naturally Kids is a purpose-driven social enterprise.

Any surplus generated through our services is reinvested into expanding programs that support children’s wellbeing, participation and belonging. This includes developing group programs, strengthening community initiatives and improving access to services for children and families.
